Casting two supporting roles, a father and daughter/son, in a coming-of-age, family dramedy short. Production has assembled a talented, bi-coastal team to tell a story exploring the notion of "chosen" family and the longing for community in a disconnected world. The film is about a young man Alex, who's inspired to find his half-brother in NYC after the death of his father. Logline: When Alex, a lonely bay area native, discovers he has family in NYC, he offers to take care of his newly-discovered nephew/niece in the hopes of engraining himself in real family for the first time.
