About Eno River Media
Eno River Media is a North Carolina-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1999. Our mission is simple:
Working with a network of industry professionals, Eno River Media strives to grow a stronger North Carolina film economy through advocacy.
Through advocacy, educational initiatives, industry networking, and programs such as the North Carolina Film Festival, we work to strengthen opportunities for filmmakers and creative professionals across the state.
Position Summary
Eno River Media is seeking an additional Volunteer Webmaster to join our website team. This position works alongside our existing webmaster(s) to help maintain, improve, and expand the organization's growing online presence.
As ERM continues to develop new initiatives and resources, we are looking for someone who enjoys solving problems, improving user experiences, and helping a nonprofit organization make a greater impact.
Responsibilities
Maintain and update the Eno River Media websiteCreate new pages for organizational programs and initiativesImprove website usability and navigationAssist with search engine optimization (SEO)Ensure website security and software updatesTroubleshoot technical issuesWork with ERM leadership to implement new ideas and projectsRecommend improvements that enhance the visitor experienceDesired Qualifications
Experience managing WordPress websites (preferred)Working knowledge of HTML and CSSBasic understanding of responsive web designFamiliarity with website security and backupsExperience with SEO best practicesAbility to communicate clearly and work independentlyPassion for the arts, nonprofit organizations, or the film industryWhy Volunteer?
