Volunteer: Film Reels That Grow a Movement for Survivor Entrepreneurs

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Free Brands is a survivor-led nonprofit that creates entrepreneurship pathways for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence, so they can build businesses and lasting economic freedom. Short-form video is how audiences grow right now, and it is the format we have the least of. We are looking for a San Diego-based video creator to help us film and edit a starter library of Reels we can post across Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn to grow our reach heading into our busiest season. That could include a few foundational videos that capture who we are and what we do, along with a batch of shorter pieces spotlighting the mission, the businesses, and the movement we are building. Beyond the finished videos, we would love light guidance on how we can keep making Reels in the same style ourselves after the project, so the momentum continues. Short-form video is the fastest way to grow the audience that will discover survivor-owned businesses, and reach is what turns into support during our holiday season. A starter library of ready-to-post Reels, plus the confidence to keep making more, means we can grow without a video pro on call. The audience we build now is what puts survivors in front of the people ready to buy from and back them, and every video keeps working for us long after this project ends. We are ready to move quickly. As the founder, I lead our content directly and will be your single point of contact, and I am happy to be on camera and to help coordinate any filming. Because this involves recording, we are looking for someone local to San Diego who can be hands-on with the shoot and the editing. You are welcome to use your own equipment, and we also have gear available if it is helpful, including a DJI Osmo Pocket 3 and DJI wireless mics. I will share our brand direction, our mission, and the campaigns we are building toward this fall.
