Visiting Professor of Film Studies

ResponsibilitiesTeach 12 credits per semester in the Film and Video Production program, related to film history, theory, and/or criticism (normally 4 courses).Be available outside of class time to meet with students independently as needed through regularly scheduled office hours.Required QualificationsMaster’s degree (MA or equivalent) in film studies or a related field.Demonstrated experience teaching in higher education.Ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and community members from diverse backgrounds.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including respect and empathy.Physical stamina to work long hours and/or more than 5 days per week.Preferred QualificationsPh.D. The university offers a comprehensive package that includes health plans, life insurance, tuition waiver, adoption resources, wellness coaching, free access to campus fitness facilities, and family and childcare options.
