Joining a dynamic team, the full-time remote Thin Film Engineer will develop and optimize optical thin film coating designs, create manufacturing plans, and provide engineering support while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Key responsibilities Develop, design, and optimize optical thin film coating designs to meet customer specifications Implement strategies to enhance efficiency and improve product quality using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles Collaborate with Sales, Production, QA, EHS, and R&D teams to integrate innovative solutions and drive process improvements Required qualifications Bachelor's degree in Optical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline 0-3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing process development or optical coating technologies Experience operating metrology equipment for characterizing thin films, such as spectrophotometry and interferometry Familiarity with SPC, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing principles Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
