The Final Hand

The Final Hand is an Afro-surreal psychological drama rooted in Black folklore and strategy. In a mysterious lounge that exists somewhere between memory and myth, a charismatic gambler known as High John faces a stranger whose desire to possess what was never his may cost him more than a game. Drawing inspiration from the legend of High John the Conqueror, the film explores identity, envy, ancestry, and the unseen rules that govern what can and cannot be taken.
