Student Services Coordinator

San Francisco Film School (SFFS) seeks a Student Services Coordinator to support two connected dimensions of the student experience: the operations that make courses and Residency Weeks run, and the year-round advising that keeps students on track between residencies. Reporting to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, this position serves as the host and operational owner of every Residency Week, coordinates the external spaces that courses and residencies depend on, performs academic administrative work in support of the department, and serves as the primary academic advisor for students across SFFS’s Digital Filmmaking, New Music Production, and Emerging Audio Technology programs. D. Academic Administration (As Assigned) Perform academic administrative work as assigned by the Vice President for Academic Affairs in support of departmental operations across all SFFS programs.Maintain fluency in Populi for scheduling, attendance, records, and reporting, and provide first-line support to students on app setup, ID provisioning, and access.Develop and refine standard operating procedures for recurring academic and residency processes, and implement operational improvements that scale with cohort growth.Collaborate across the Registrar’s Office, Financial Aid, Admissions, the VA Benefits Coordinator, faculty, the Assistant Dean, and Facilities on compliance, accommodations, and student-level coordination. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements Standard 40-hour workweek on a hybrid schedule, typically 2 to 3 days per week on-site when Residency Weeks are not in session and full on-site presence during Residency Weeks; hours worked beyond 8 in a day or 40 in a week are paid as overtime in accordance with California law.Standard office activity plus periodic light setup of event and instructional spaces, and minimal local travel to SFFS-affiliated studios or location shoots.
