Senior Production Manager, Film & Television

Our client, a dynamic and innovative production company, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Production Manager to oversee the execution of high-quality film and television projects. This role is based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US and is crucial for ensuring that productions are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest creative standards. You will manage all aspects of the production process, from pre-production planning and budgeting to principal photography and post-production. The ideal candidate has a proven track record in managing complex productions, possesses exceptional organizational and logistical skills, and has a deep understanding of the film and television industry. You will lead and coordinate production teams, manage vendor relationships, secure necessary resources, and ensure compliance with all legal and contractual obligations. Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of film and television production, from development to delivery. Develop and manage production budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring fiscal responsibility. Create and maintain detailed production schedules, coordinating with all departments to meet deadlines. Manage and lead production crews, fostering a positive and productive working environment. Source and negotiate with vendors for equipment, locations, and services. Ensure compliance with all industry standards, safety regulations, and union agreements. Liaise with creative leads, executive producers, and studio representatives. Manage the logistics of principal photography, including travel, accommodation, and permits. Oversee post-production processes, including editing, sound mixing, and visual effects. Identify and mitigate production risks and challenges proactively. Maintain accurate production records and reports. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Business Administration, or a related field. 7+ years of experience in production management within the film and television industry. Demonstrated success in managing multiple projects simultaneously, from inception to completion. Extensive knowledge of production workflows, budgeting software, and scheduling tools. Strong understanding of union regulations and contractual agreements. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Experience with various production genres (e.g., narrative film, documentary, unscripted television). A strong network of contacts within the production industry is a significant advantage. Residing in or willing to relocate to the Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US area is required. This position is on-site at our studios in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, US .
