Key Responsibilities Compose original, high-quality musical scores for feature films, short films, and documentaries. Conduct and record music with live musicians or utilize advanced virtual instrument libraries and digital audio workstations. Manage the music budget and schedule effectively, ensuring timely delivery of all musical elements. Research and propose innovative musical approaches and technologies to enhance the film scoring process. Maintain clear and consistent communication with all project stakeholders regarding musical direction and progress. Attend production meetings and be available for on-set consultations as needed. Requirements Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in Music Composition, Film Scoring, or a related field. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience as a film score composer, with a substantial portfolio of released film credits. Advanced proficiency in Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) such as Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Cubase, or Ableton Live. Expertise in orchestral arranging, synthesis, sampling, and sound design. Strong understanding of music theory, harmony, melody, and rhythm as applied to film. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced production environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative spirit. A keen ear for sonic detail and the ability to craft emotionally compelling musical themes.
