Senior Film and Television Production Manager

Our client, a rapidly growing entertainment production company, is seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Film and Television Production Manager to oversee projects from conception through completion in **Provo, Utah, US**. This role demands exceptional leadership, logistical prowess, and a deep understanding of all facets of film and television production. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, and resources to ensure that productions are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest creative and technical standards.

Key responsibilities include developing and managing production budgets, creating detailed shooting schedules, hiring and managing production staff and crew, and securing necessary permits and locations. You will be the primary point of contact for external vendors, talent agencies, and studio executives, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration. The Senior Production Manager will oversee all aspects of pre-production, principal photography, and post-production, including equipment rental, travel arrangements, catering, and on-set logistics. A strong ability to anticipate challenges, mitigate risks, and find creative solutions under pressure is essential. This role requires a proactive approach, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for storytelling and filmmaking.

Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of film and television production, from pre-production through post-production. Develop, manage, and track production budgets, ensuring cost-efficiency. Create and manage comprehensive production schedules, adapting as necessary to unforeseen circumstances. Recruit, hire, and manage production crew and personnel. Secure filming locations, obtain necessary permits, and manage location logistics. Coordinate equipment rentals, crew travel, and accommodation. Liaise with directors, producers, department heads, and external stakeholders. Ensure adherence to safety protocols and legal requirements on set. Manage relationships with vendors, service providers, and talent agencies. Oversee the post-production process, including editing, sound mixing, and color grading. Troubleshoot and resolve production-related issues proactively.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 6 years of experience in film and television production management. Proven track record of successfully managing budgets and schedules for feature films or television series. Extensive knowledge of all phases of production, including pre-production, shooting, and post-production. Strong understanding of industry unions, labor laws, and contract negotiations. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in project management software and standard production tools. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
