Key Responsibilities Collaborate with directors to develop and execute the visual style and camera language for film and television productions. Operate cameras or lead the camera and lighting departments to achieve desired shots and visual effects. Select and manage camera equipment, lenses, and lighting setups appropriate for the project's creative and technical needs. Plan and execute camera movements, framing, and composition to enhance storytelling and emotional impact. Design and implement lighting schemes that effectively create mood, atmosphere, and visual depth. Work closely with the art department and gaffers to ensure cohesive visual aesthetics. Manage camera and lighting budgets effectively, ensuring resources are utilized efficiently. Troubleshoot technical challenges related to camera, lighting, and digital workflows on set. Ensure all captured footage meets the highest technical and artistic standards. Stay current with advancements in cinematography technology, techniques, and digital filmmaking processes. Requirements Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Director of Photography or Senior Camera Operator on feature films or high-end television productions. A strong reel showcasing a diverse range of visually compelling work with excellent cinematography and lighting skills. In-depth knowledge of various camera systems (e.g., Arri, RED), lenses, lighting equipment, and grip gear. Proficiency in digital cinematography workflows, including color grading principles. Excellent understanding of composition, framing, color theory, and visual storytelling. Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide camera and lighting crews. Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability to on-set challenges. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with directors and crew. Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Cinematography, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
