Senior Accountant

Marcus Theatres is in search of a Senior Accountant to join our team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for participating in the monthly close process and the production of financial information as well as performing account reconciliations, posting journal entries, and performing initial analysis of financial data before submission to Theatres’ Accounting leadership. Now, as the fourth-largest theater circuit in the U.S., we bring the magic of movies to life with 995 screens across 79 locations in 17 states, operating under Marcus Theatres, Movie Tavern® by Marcus, and BistroPlex® brands. 2-3+ years of accounting and/or finance experienceBachelor’s (or advanced) Degree in Accounting preferred, CPA or equivalent experience helpfulStrong analytical skills, comprehension of accounting processes and technical accounting topics, and the ability to communicate the results of analysis performed;Ability to work both independently and in a team environment to solve complex problemsPossess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsBe well-organized in order to successfully manage and prioritize multiple tasks while remaining detail oriented.
