Percentage of time that could be remote (0-100%): up to 100% - conceptualizing and planning of the creation of an original documentary; researching historically marginalized DMT history and contemporary perspectives; gathering and planning/coordinating interviews and movement-based footage, coordinating with faculty and DMT community, as well as other stakeholders, and assisting with story-boarding, editing, and narrative development.

Method to assess remote work: Engagement with the process and seeing the project come to fruition.

Job Description

The student helps shape an accessible, compelling visual resource that reflects the DMT fields multicultural, embodied, and communal therapeutic foundations. The student will research historically marginalized DMT history and contemporary perspectives, gathering interviews and movement-based footage, coordinating with faculty and community partners, and assisting with story-boarding, editing, and narrative development. Qualifications

Work study eligible; involved with film making experience; ability to connect with community partners; dance/movement therapy student invested in lifting up the history of those who were marginalized in the field. Does this position meet the definition of Community Service? Yes
