Projectionist

THE ROLE

We're looking for an experienced projectionist to manage all screening operations across the festival weekend. You'll be the technical backbone of the event - responsible for flawless DCP playback, coordinating with our programming team on screening schedules, and troubleshooting any issues in real time. Because Regal cannot provide in-house projection support during festival dates, you'll need to come prepared to operate independently.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Operate digital cinema projection equipment for all ITWIFF 26 screenings

Ingest, verify, and organize DCPs prior to and during the festival

Coordinate with the ITWIFF programming team on screening order, run times, and cue sheets

Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly under live conditions

Be present and on-call throughout all festival screening hours (Friday-Sunday)

REQUIREMENTS

Demonstrated experience with DCP playback and digital cinema servers (Doremi, Dolby, Barco, Christie, or equivalent)

Familiarity with DCP packaging standards (SMPTE and Interop)

Experience managing KDMs and troubleshooting ingestion issues

Ability to work independently without on-site venue technical support

Strong communication skills and a calm presence under pressure

Prior festival, arthouse, or independent cinema experience strongly preferred Reference: ECNJOBID-66-249-70-99 in the application
