An independent production is seeking a Senior Lead Editor to join our small, dedicated team for an upcoming feature-length documentary project based in Albuquerque. This film explores the unique culture and resilience of indigenous communities in the Southwest, offering a powerful, character-driven narrative with a poetic tone. We’ve shot a significant amount of compelling footage and are now looking for a seasoned editor to shape this material into a cohesive and impactful story. Key responsibilities include working closely with the director to establish narrative flow, creating rough and fine cuts, incorporating archival footage, managing sound design integration, and preparing for color grade and final sound mix. You'll be instrumental in crafting the film’s pacing and emotional arc.
