POSITION: Production Assistant, Events - New York Film Festival


DEPARTMENT: Events


WORK LOCATION: 100% in-person, NYC


TERM: Full-Time; Seasonal (4 Weeks): 9/14/2026 - 10/11/2026


RATE: $23/hour, with overtime after 40 hours of work in a week


REPORTS TO: Director of Events / Events Coordinator

The New York Film Festival seeks two Events Assistants to execute a variety of essential projects and provide on-the-ground support for our venues and events.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES




Act as NYFF point of contact on the ground at events



Assist with deliveries, storage, inventory tracking, vendor coordination;



Assist in tracking event timelines, production schedules and vendor deadlines;



Supervises shifts of event volunteers as required; including briefing check-in volunteers for NYFF-owned events on greeting / iPad protocol;



Provide general event production and lounge support;



Ensure festival databases and other documents are updated;



Other administrative and production support tasks as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED




Experience in film festival, live event, or conference production;



Attention to detail and strong organizational skills;



Comfort leading teams of volunteers;



Grace under pressure;



Comfortable working out of our offices and at multiple venues during the festival;



Comfortable working with Google Suite.
