Part-Time Horror Film Production Assistant

Like helping no, but I wrote like that's a possibilityOVERVIEW:

We are a small independent horror film production company based in the Buffalo, NY (Hamburg) area. We are searching for an extra hand— a part-time Film Production Assistant to help on local horror film shoots.

Our videos have reached billions of views online, tens of millions of subscribers across our YouTube channels, and our work is also available on major streaming platforms like Tubi. Even with a large audience, our shoots are still very hands-on, local, and independent.

Looking for someone truly passionate about film, horror, YouTube, and behind-the-scenes production. You do not need years of professional experience (or much of any experience at all). What matters most is that you are reliable, easy to work with, willing to learn, and excited to be part of our independent production team. You’ll be helping directly with the production process.

- Moving and organizing production items when needed

- Assisting with setup and cleanup before/on shoot days

- Helping keep things organized before, after, and possibly during filming

- Following direction, ready to provide an extra hand when needed on set

- If absolutely needed, willing to get into costume, makeup, wear masks/outfits (if we have issues acquiring actor)

REQUIREMENTS:

- Strong interest in film, horror, YouTube, or video production

- Reliable transportation to shoots in the Hamburg/Buffalo area

- Dependable, punctual, and easy to communicate with

SCHEDULE & PAY:

This is a part-time, as-needed position. Work will usually be 1–3 days per week depending on the shoot schedule. Hours are not guaranteed every week.

This is a paid position. Pay is hourly and may vary depending on the shoot day, workload, and type of tasks. Longer or more physically demanding days will pay higher rates.

Most work will take place in Hamburg, NY, but other nearby Buffalo-area locations are possible.

TIMELINE OF WORK:

This is an as-needed role with the goal of building a long-term working relationship. We are looking for someone who is a strong fit for our team, wants to grow with the company, and is excited to contribute as our productions continue to expand.

Our hope is to find someone who can help us grow while also gaining real hands-on experience, learning the production process, and growing with us over time.
