CAFILM supports its mission to celebrate film as art and education by presenting the annual Mill Valley Film Festival and DocLands Documentary Film Festival, exhibiting film year-round at the non-profit Christopher B. Smith Rafael Film Center in San Rafael, CA and Sequoia Cinema in Mill Valley, CA, and building the next generation of filmmakers and film lovers through CAFILM Education. The Guest Services Coordinator works closely with the Programming & PR Departments and Theater Operations and Box Office to craft a memorable and welcoming experience for every guest attending the Mill Valley Film Festival. Manage individual communication with guests regarding their Festival visit and logisticsMaintain guest information in the Festival database and other shared platformsStay within budgetCommunicate any and all guest, budget, vendor, personnel, or other issues to your supervisor before they arise whenever possibleArrange booking of guest air travel, with research into best available fares and routingTrack all travel expenses, itineraries, and details in the Festival databaseArrange ground transportation for Festival guests to and from airports, hotels, screenings, and eventsWork with Box Office to fulfill ticket requests for filmmakersAssess guest needs (dietary, accessibility, language, etc.) We are taking steps to ensure that the California Film Institute is a safe and equitable space for staff members, filmmakers and audiences alike by incorporating inclusivity, diversity and accessibility measures into our business plan and tangible KPIs to hold ourselves accountable to serve and engage diverse audiences through our work.
