Casting "Up in the Clouds, Down in the Dirt," a sophomore feature film from writer-director Giovanni Montalvo, following his debut feature, "How to Stop Thinking About the Immortality of Jellyfish." Logline: Set across the changing seasons of New York City, the film is a romantic tragicomedy about a young photographer attempting to rediscover her artistic voice and sense of self after the end of a long relationship. The film will be made through an intimate, actor-centered process combining a written dramatic framework with improvisation and discoveries made during production. Rather than treating the screenplay as fixed, characters will continue to develop in conversation with the actors portraying them.
