Position: Material Handler - Film PullerLocation: Hickory, NCShift: 12 hour night shift | 7PM-7AM | 2-2-3 schedulePay Rate: $19.93/hourSummary DescriptionWhile reporting to the Shipping Supervisor, the Material Handler Level I is responsible for safely operating material handling equipment and supporting shipping and inventory operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate shipments, inventory control, and safe material movement throughout the facility.What You’ll Be DoingUse scan guns to accurately track and record inventory locationsPull finished goods and stage materials for shipmentVerify counts to fulfill shipping orders accuratelyPrint and apply labels to outgoing palletsAssist with year-end inventory and cycle countsPerform trailer lockout procedures, truck inspections, and freight loadingPrint and process releases for outgoing shipmentsCreate bills of lading (BOLs) and related shipping documentationOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipmentPerform forklift safety inspections at the start of each shift in compliance with OSHA standardsFollow all plant safety and food safety proceduresMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentWe’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have previous forklift and material handling experience in a manufacturing environmentYou can safely handle raw materials and finished productsYou can work independently with strong attention to detailYou have basic computer and scanning system skillsYou can manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environmentYou are comfortable standing, walking, lifting, and operating equipment throughout the shiftYou can occasionally lift up to 50 lbsYou have strong communication and teamwork skillsYou can help coach and support team members when neededBenefitsAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
