Fresh Films' Filmmaking Program will engage high-school teens on Tuesday and Thursdays. This position is perfect for a freelance professional, current teacher, graduate student, or a filmmaker who is looking to give back to youth in the community. Note: Filmmaking Instructors will be expected to follow the rules and restrictions set forth by our program partners. Preferred Qualifications Well-rounded generalists with experience working in the film, television, or media-production industries Of note, we welcome folks who have a specific area of expertise as long as they are also comfortable teaching filmmaking in general (basic camera, lights, and audio operation + basic video editing principles) People who are well-versed in the traditional filmmaking process (Concept Development, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production, and Marketing) Must genuinely enjoy working with young-adult students in an educational environment Must pass a background check in order to work directly with students Dates: Starts on Tuesday 4/14/2026, and continues Tuesdays & Thursdays through May 21, 2026 Time: 3:45pm - 5:45pm ET The program will run for 2 hours/day on Tuesdays & Thursdays, along with 2-4 hours/week spent reviewing student work, prepping for the next program session, and answering student questions as needed
