An autistic Math PHD student lives a present life in his
corner of Los Angeles. He loves the sights of birds, the
joy of gardening, and the thrill of teaching his students
abstract mathematical concepts.
This all changes when after reuniting with a childhood
love, he is confronted with a big scary dog outside his
home. Paralyzed with fear, he makes a drastic decision to
kill the dog, sending him down a path of secrets and
repressed childhood memory.
Overcome with guilt he tries his best to lead life as if
it were the same, but something is different. The birds
don’t sing the same, the garden is quickly wilting, and
he doesn’t have the same confidence when teaching his
students.
This climax’s when his next-door neighbor, who has been
curious about the bizarre “dog killings” that have been
tormenting the neighborhood, gets increasing close to
discovering who is behind them.
