Casting "Hijos del Agave," a short film set in 1920s that blends action, sensual drama, and historical grit. Synopsis: Inspired by true stories of Mexican bootleggers, the film follows Emilio Duarte and Catalina 'La Lumbre' Serrano, a married couple running a church-front funeral parlor that secretly smuggles tequila into the Southern United States. As danger closes in, they must outrun rivals, federal agents, and their own past. Told in Spanish and English, the film is a proof of concept for a feature-length adaptation currently in development.
