Head of Scripted & Movies, Japan

This role will lead a team of creative executives responsible for overseeing the ongoing growth of Prime Video in Japan through developing a compelling slate of original movies and television series. The ideal candidate is both a strong creative and strategic leader with the proven ability to manage teams across all content categories, all aspects of creative production, and is well‑versed in solving day‑to‑day production problems as well as bigger strategic and regulatory issues relevant to the territory. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent Speak, write, and read fluently in Japanese Experience with a proven track record of storytelling by developing successful films or shows either as an independent consultant, in a studio or as part of a customer‑facing media company 10+ years of executive level experience in development at a studio, network or production company 5+ years of team management experience Deep knowledge of industry talent and trends with a deep portfolio of industry contacts Preferred Qualifications Speak, write, and read fluently in English Experience working in a fast‑paced environment similar to a high‑tech start‑up Broad network of writers, producers and artists.
