Hey filmmakers, we're looking for a seasoned Gaffer for an upcoming independent feature film. This is a dramatic thriller with some intense set pieces, so we need someone who can truly light for mood and tension. Your main responsibilities will include designing and implementing the lighting plan in collaboration with the DP, managing the grip and electric team, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and troubleshooting any on-set lighting challenges. We need someone with a strong understanding of various lighting techniques, creative problem-solving skills, and a proven track record on similar projects. Please have a current reel or portfolio ready. We're looking at a 6-week shoot, approximate dates early fall, 10-12 hour days. We're providing a full camera and lighting package, but your expertise in maximizing it will be key. Compensation is $2000-3000/week, based on experience.
