Seeking a gaffer for Just Like That, an independent narrative short film shooting in Houston.
The film is a character-driven drama with moments of comedy about two strangers who get laid off on the same day and unexpectedly meet at a party that night.
Looking for someone to work closely with the DP and director to help create the film's lighting and visual mood. The film includes interior dialogue scenes, a nighttime party, and exterior night scenes. Looking for someone comfortable with naturalistic, cinematic lighting and basic grip/electric setups. Narrative experience preferred. Access to lighting/grip equipment is a plus, but not required.
Targeting a 1–2 day shoot in Houston in September 2026. Unpaid passion project. Meals, screen credit, reel footage, and festival exposure provided.
