Seeking Focus Puller / 1st AC — Short Film (Volunteer) | Sarasota, FL

We're looking for an experienced Focus Puller / 1st AC to join the crew on an upcoming narrative short film production in Sarasota. This is a volunteer position with the opportunity to receive a screen credit and a copy of the finished film for your reel.

Responsibilities

Pull focus on a Sony FX3 using a SmallRig Wireless Follow Focus Two-Motor Kit during principal photographyHelp build, prep, and wrap the camera package each shoot dayHelp manage and organize all camera media, batteries, and accessoriesAssist the DP in maintaining camera continuity between setupsCoordinate with the gaffer and grip departments as neededMaintain a clean and organized camera department

Qualifications

Prior experience as a 1st AC or Focus Puller on narrative film or commercial projectsProficiency pulling focus on mirrorless or cinema camera systems (Sony FX-series experience a plus)Strong understanding of lens marks, focus charts, and depth of fieldReliable, punctual, and comfortable working on a fast-paced setAbility to collaborate professionally with a small, dedicated crew
