Job Description

We are seeking a Film Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has some experience developing photographic film and a passion for analog photography. This role involves both film processing, digital imaging work and printing photos.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop 35mm, 120, and other film formats (110, 126, 127, APS, etc.)
Operate film processing equipment
Scan negatives and convert film to high-quality digital files
Perform image editing and corrections using Adobe Photoshop
Manage chemistry and maintenance of processing machines
Interact with customers to answer questions and provide updates

Requirements:

Prior experience developing photographic film
Basic familiarity with film scanning and photo editing (Photoshop preferred)
Comfortable working on your feet for portions of the day
Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Technically inclined and comfortable troubleshooting equipment and software issues
Able to remain calm and focused in fast-paced or high-pressure situations

Desired skills:

Working knowledge of film and/or digital cameras
Working knowledge of using smartphones to take and share photos, including utilizing social media.
Familiarity with historical methods for event capture such as film photography, filmography, videography, etc.

Schedule:

Must be able to work weekends. The position will likely start as part-time with the possibility of moving to full-time in the future.

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
