Film and Television Production

The Film and Television Department offers certificates and degrees in production, screenwriting and animation. The Film, Television, and Electronic Media major consists of courses appropriate for the Associate in Science in Film, Television, and Electronic Media for Transfer degree, which provides a foundational understanding of the discipline, a breadth of coursework in the discipline, and preparation for transfer to any CSU that accepts the Transfer Model Curriculum (TMC). In all cases, students should consult with a counselor for more information on university admission and transfer requirements. In order to fulfill the major requirements, students take each course in the screenwriting series, courses in cinema studies and media theory and basic production courses. In addition to the programs listed above, you may be able to apply courses in this department toward General Education requirements.
