EVERYBODY WANTED TO RESEMBLE SOMETHING is a French New Wave inspired short film set in Los Angeles exploring identity, reinvention, emotional distance, and modern relationships through fragmented conversations and observational imagery.
The film follows Anna and Paul, a married couple quietly drifting through a subtle emotional transformation neither fully understands. After attending a small apartment gathering filled with artists, intellectual conversations, and performative discussions about politics, art, and self-image, Anna begins questioning her own identity and relationship to change. Conversations about reinvention and transformation begin blending psychologically into her everyday life through advertisements, mirrors, routines, and silence.
