A small independent production is seeking an enthusiastic, entry-level editor for an upcoming feature film. This project is a gritty, character-driven drama set in modern-day Brooklyn, exploring themes of resilience and urban life. It's a visually rich story with a strong emotional core. You'll be responsible for assembling footage, creating rough cuts, incorporating feedback, and collaborating closely with the director to shape the narrative. We're looking for someone eager to learn and contribute creatively. Applicants should have basic proficiency with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and ideally some experience cutting short films or similar projects. While not strictly required, access to your own editing setup would be a plus. Please submit a reel or examples of your work. This is a deferred pay position, common in independent filmmaking, with compensation tied to the film's distribution and success. We anticipate beginning post-production in late summer, early fall, with flexible hours as needed. We'll provide all necessary footage and project files.
