Elevate the East Call for Artists

Elevate the East Call for Artists LAND studio is partnering with Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. (BBC) and the Cuyahoga Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) to commission a sculptural artwork for the new Woodhill Center North Campus (Morris Black), part of the Elevate the East initiative. Special consideration will be given to artists with ties to the Buckeye-Shaker, Larchmere, Woodland Hills, and Mt. The selected artist or team will receive a $10,000 design and community engagement fee to lead three community engagement events with Woodhill Estates residents, produce three sketch-level conceptual designs, and develop a final design in partnership with the Morris Black Advisory Committee. This project builds on the Elevate the East plan's vision to celebrate the culture, history, and identity of the Woodhill community through public art. Note: Artist fees shall not exceed 20% of the overall project budget.
