Fresh Films' Filmmaking Program will engage high-school teens on Tuesday and Thursdays.We're looking for filmmakers or technically-inclined educators in the Cleveland area who can engage, guide, and mentor the future filmmakers as they learn the ins and outs of filmmaking.This position is perfect for a freelance professional, current teacher, graduate student, or a filmmaker who is looking to give back to youth in the community.Note: Filmmaking Instructors will be expected to follow the rules and restrictions set forth by our program partners.Preferred Qualifications Well-rounded generalists with experience working in the film, television, or media-production industriesOf note, we welcome folks who have a specific area of expertise as long as they are also comfortable teaching filmmaking in general (basic camera, lights, and audio operation + basic video editing principles)People who are well-versed in the traditional filmmaking process (Concept Development, Pre-Production, Production, Post-Production, and Marketing)Must genuinely enjoy working with young-adult students in an educational environmentMust pass a background check in order to work directly with studentsDates: Starts on Tuesday 4/21/2026, and continues Tuesdays & Thursdays through May 21, 2026Time: 3:45pm - 5:45pm ETThe program will run for 2 hours/day on Tuesdays & Thursdays, along with 2-4 hours/week spent reviewing student work, prepping for the next program session, and answering student questions as neededHour Commitment: No more than 6-8 hours/weekLocation: Cleveland Public Library - Rockport CampusCompensation: $30 - $45 /hourFresh Films will develop all program curriculum and provide all materials needed for the program.
