Seeking a DP for a short thriller shooting on the Upper East Side on 11/9 and 11/10. Logline: After a teenage girl is followed home by a boy, she learns that some dangers are invited in. The film takes place entirely at night. Exteriors will be shot at night on location, while all interiors will be shot during the day and made to read as night, so experience blacking out windows, lighting interiors for night, and matching interior and exterior looks is essential. The story moves from an empty city street into a dark townhouse, with long silent stretches, a tense chase through the house, and a confined struggle under a bed, so the cinematography needs to carry suspense with minimal dialogue. Comfort with handheld or Steadicam movement, tight spaces, and low-key, moody lighting is a plus. Also looking to hire a gaffer and are happy to bring on someone you already work with.
