About the Role: 2-4h location interview - 2 stationary cameras - lightweight setup - NO EDITING required We specialize in conducting at-home interviews about people's life stories to create cherished family heirlooms. We seek a talented junior or mid-level videographer/interviewer with flexible hours to join our freelance team. This role involves filming and conducting interviews focusing on high-quality portrait lighting and steady shots. Interviews are pre-scheduled and typically last between 2-4 hours, often taking place early in the morning, including weekends. Location: •⁠ ⁠San Francisco, CA •⁠ With mobility to work in and around San Francisco within driving distance. How it works: •⁠ ⁠We schedule an interview date with a 50% down payment. •⁠ ⁠We train you on our specific interview technique and inform you of our expectations of the finished product. •⁠ ⁠You travel to the location on the scheduled day, conduct the interview, and deliver the files. Key Responsibilities: •⁠ ⁠Performing and filming interviews in 4K resolution for durations of 2 to 4 hours. •⁠ ⁠Quick setup and maintenance of high-quality portrait lighting for steady shots. •⁠ ⁠Ensuring all equipment is properly set up and functioning before each session. •⁠ ⁠NO EDITING required. Key Qualifications: •⁠ ⁠Proven experience conducting interviews •⁠ ⁠Proven experience as a videographer, particularly with portrait lighting and steady shots. •⁠ ⁠Proficient with 4K cameras and related filming equipment. •⁠ ⁠Must own (or be able to rent) a camera capable of filming in 4K for over 1.5 hours. •⁠ ⁠Ability to film continuously for long durations (over 1.5 hours). •⁠ ⁠Strong attention to detail and an eye for capturing high-quality footage. •⁠ Strong interpersonal skills and excellent communication. Additional Considerations: •⁠ ⁠Presentation and Manners - Professional appearance and excellent manners are crucial. We will provide guidance on suitable attire, but candidates must also demonstrate politeness and good etiquette.
