'Dissonance'

Casting "Dissonance," a short film about authenticity, music, and the cost of compromise. Synopsis: "Dissonance" follows Sam, a signed recording artist who walks out on his label's hired songwriters and runs into Emily, his ex and the folk musician he left behind when he chose a record deal over their band. Over the course of one night, and one unfinished song, they rediscover what made them great together, and why it fell apart. Shot in a single city over a tight schedule, this is a dialogue-driven, character-first film. Think "A Star Is Born" in miniature: raw performances, real music, and two people telling each other hard truths.
