Job Description and Duties

The Supervisor I works under the general direction of the Film & TV Tax Credit Deputy Director and receives indirect direction from the Director and Deputy Director of the Film & TV Tax Credit Program. The incumbent initiates the development, implementation, evaluation, and management of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility (DEIA) requirements under Assembly Bill 1138. This position involves higher level management duties, decision making, and problem-solving which includes a complex operation. The incumbent also provides recommendations to the Agency and the Department on the formulation and/or administration of DEIA program requirements and advises stakeholders and management in the implementation and maintenance of DEIA policies, procedures and practices. This leadership role must be accompanied by a role as a highly skilled, independent consultant with the ability to act authoritatively in a functional specialty, support policies, procedures, protocols, improvement efforts within the tax credit program.
