Join our team as a Cinema Arts Instructor!

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about media arts and eager to inspire high school students. You will teach one Cinema Arts class each quarter during the school year, focusing on digital cinema, filmmaking, cinematography, sound, editing, and visual storytelling. Your role will include:

Guiding students to enhance their technical and creative skills in narrative, documentary, and experimental filmmaking.Evaluating student performance and maintaining records in Infinite Campus.Communicating effectively with students and families and collaborating with faculty.Performing other duties as assigned, in line with the Minnesota Code of Ethics for Teachers.Minimum Qualifications:

Valid Minnesota teaching license in Visual Arts (with a focus in media), or the ability to obtain Tier 2 licensure by August 1st.Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media Arts, Cinema Production, or a related field.Experience teaching cinema arts or media arts at the high school level.Strong classroom management and organizational skills.Excellent oral and written communication skills.Positive interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to students, parents, and staff from diverse backgrounds.Preferred Qualifications:

Master of Fine Arts (MFA) or related advanced degree.Experience as a working filmmaker, cinematographer, editor, or media artist.An active creative practice with connections to the professional film/media arts community.Familiarity with industry-standard productions and post-production software and equipment.Additional Information:
