Performers wanted for "By the River, Eating Fruit" short film. See the details below.
ONLY LOCAL TALENT WILL BE CONSIDERED.
About the project:
The film follows a sound recordist hired by a local museum as he traverses the rural Wisconsin terrain collecting ambient environmental recordings before being accompanied by a fellow colleague. Throughout the film the sound recordist gathers the fragments, voices, landscapes and people around him. As the film progresses, the boundaries between what is dreamed, remembered, and experienced begins to dissipate.
At its center, the film is about listening, memory, and the impermanence of all that is around us — and how one tries to preserve what cannot be. The film is intentionally soft, slow, and intimate, often feeling driftless and void of a clear narrative, blending what may be reality and what may just be a dream.
