Brother Hold Your Light is a grounded independent dramatic short film set in Downtown Los Angeles. The story follows an aging former jazz musician living on the streets who forms a quiet connection with a young girl that slowly begins to reopen him emotionally. The film is visually driven with minimal dialogue and focuses on atmosphere, emotional realism, loneliness, grief, and human connection. Inspired by films such as Moonlight, The Wrestler, Nomadland, and Paris, Texas. This is a small professional overnight shoot with an intimate crew and cinematic naturalistic approach.
