Read on!What you’ll do:Design, develop, and maintain scalable server-side applications, APIs, and microservices to support media streaming, sharing, and file managementArchitect and optimize database systems (relational and/or NoSQL) for high performance, reliability, and securityIntegrate with cloud platforms (AWS, Backblaze) and manage cloud storage solutions for large media filesImplement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling practices to protect user privacy and platform integrityCollaborate with front-end developers and UI/UX designers to ensure seamless integration between back-end and front-end systems.Monitor, diagnose, and resolve performance bottlenecks, bugs, and security vulnerabilitiesWrite clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practicesParticipate in code reviews and sprint planning, contributing to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvementStay up to date on the latest trends in SaaS, cloud architecture, and back-end development best practicesWho you are:4+ years of experience in back-end development, with a strong track record of building production-grade web applicationsProficient in PHP, Laravel, RESTful API design, and cloud-native developmentExperience in implementing event-driven architectures using Amazon EventBridge and event busesExperienced with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure) and cloud storage solutionsSkilled in database design and management (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, or similar)Familiar with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git)Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and secure data handlingExcellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindsetBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experienceExtra CreditExperience with media streaming technologies and optimizing large file uploads/downloadsFamiliarity with Shopify storefronts, headless CMS, or e-commerce integrationsExperience with SaaS analytics, monitoring, or growth optimization toolsExposure to SendGrid, Klaviyo, or AttentiveBenefitsFull-timePay is competitive and based on experienceMedical, dental and vision coveragePaid time offLegacybox is an Equal Opportunity Employer who complies with all Federal, State and Local laws prohibiting discrimination in employment.
