The School of Theatre, Television, and Film at San Diego State University is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor with a specialization in Production Design for Film & Television. This position is vital to delivering the curriculum for the Television, Film, and New Media and the Design and Technology programs within the School. Other responsibilities include mentoring and advising students in production design, supporting their creative and professional growth; providing guidance on industry-standard design software and tools, revising and developing the production design curriculum to align with changes in the profession; contributing to graduate and undergraduate portfolio, qualifier, and capstone reviews; participating in recruitment activities for production design students; promoting the School on local and national levels; and providing service to the university and professional community.
