The Department of English at Metropolitan State University of Denver (MSU Denver) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at assistant professor rank, specializing in film studies. This is a full-time tenure-track faculty position (9-month contract) with a focus on teaching, advising, scholarship and service. Preferred Qualifications • Demonstrated expertise and ability to teach courses in multicultural cinema • Demonstrated expertise and ability to teach courses on gender and sexuality in film • Experience in teaching Introduction to Film Studies and History of Film • Teaching experience in area of expertise/research • Evidence of high-impact teaching practices across different teaching modalities • Evidence of community-engaged teaching and/or scholarship • Record of scholarly pursuits that align with department's priorities for scholarship We are most interested in finding the candidate who will best contribute to our Department and the University.
