Assistant Film Projectionist

Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Projectionist in setting up and operating projection equipment. Monitor film screenings for quality, including picture and sound. Troubleshoot and resolve minor technical issues with projectors and sound systems. Prepare films for projection, including splicing, loading, and formatting. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of projection equipment. Ensure all screenings start and end on time, maintaining the integrity of the schedule. Assist with inventory management of projection media and supplies. Maintain a clean and organized projection booth. Respond to technical issues during screenings promptly and efficiently. Stay updated on new projection technologies and techniques. Support special event screenings and Q&A sessions as needed.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. A strong passion for film and cinema. Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment and troubleshooting is beneficial. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
